Help Center / NetSuite / Admin & Setup
Before NetXcel can connect to NetSuite, NetSuite needs an Integration Record. This is where your connection credentials come from.
Connecting NetXcel to NetSuite starts in NetSuite, not NetXcel. Create an Integration Record first, it generates the credentials NetXcel needs. Requires the NetSuite Administrator role, or a role with the "Integration Application" permission. Most NetXcel users don't have this. If that's you, ask your NetSuite admin, often a different person than your NetXcel admin, to do this step or hand you the credentials. Not sure which method to ask for? See Choosing How to Connect NetSuite first.
Go to Setup, Integration, Manage Integrations, New. Name it something recognizable, like "NetXcel Production." Leave State as Enabled. Open the Authentication subtab and enable one of NetXcel's four connection methods. Two need an extra step:
NetXcel's New Connection dialog shows these steps as a guided tour once you pick a method, with a link to the detailed guide. You don't need to memorize all four.
NetSuite shows each credential exactly once, right after you save. Copy it immediately. Navigate away first, and you'll have to reset it, which invalidates the old one.
